Some Questions & Answers...

Is This Park For Me?

The park has a variety of trails that at the top...

What Protective Gear Should I Wear At The Park?

Full Face Helmets & Gloves are highly recommended. A helmet (of some kind) MUST be worn if you wish to ride at Okeford Hill (on ANY trail).
This is due to the flinty nature of the ground and the steepness of the lower half of the park we recommend a full face helmet, if you choose to ride in a non full face helmet you do so at your own risk.
We also recommend that knee, elbow and back protection are worn on the DH trails. The park is on very flinty ground so pad up please to avoid injuries!

What Trails Are Open?

For now, Tsubo, Devil's Dyke, Big Grin, HSE, Darkside and Roy have been re-shaped and cleared ready for riding. There will also be some new trails as the season progresses - come and help us dig them!

What Facilities Are At Okeford Hill?

The Hut is there (needs some love to make it nice again, but it’s dry and warmer than outside!!). On race days and special events there will be food on site, there are always toilets (locked when the site is closed) and there is always a first aider on site (not when the site is closed).

Is There Somewhere To Buy Cycle Gear There?

No, however we will be bringing bike/rider essentials on race days … (tyres/tubes/ goggles/gloves/helmets/rear mechs/chains etc etc) should you need to buy anything on the day.
Our shop is 20 mins down the road in Shaftesbury and we are open Monday - Friday 09:00 -17:30 & Saturday 09:00 -14:00
